How To Become A Member

Membership in the Chapter includes two components :

1.The National Railway Historical Society. Two types of annual memberships are offered that begin on January 1 of each year. Regular membership is $50 per annum and Family Membership is $54 per annum.NRHS members receive annually issues of the National Railway Bulletin, a large format glossy publication devoted to rail history topics. Members also receive the NRHS News every other month to keep them abreast on events and changes within NRHS and the Chapters.Membership in the National Railway Historical Society includes the opportunity to attend NRHS National Conventions held each summer. Train rides, sometimes including steam excursions,  and local railroad history are the focus. The 2016 Convention was held in Denver in July and was attended by 300 members.The 2017 National Convention is slated for Nashville, TN from June 20 to June 24.7 .Please refer to the NRHS website nrhs.com for complete details.

2, The local chapter membership is $12 per year.It  includes the monthly newsletter in digital format commencing January 1, 2017. The local membership fee helps to offset annual expenses such as the website ($250) , PO Box rental  ($82), printing of Model Railroad Engineer Ceretificates (60)  and the $10  Chapter per person subsidy of the December Dining Car Banquet .The membership coordinator for the Arkansas-Boston Mountains Chapter is Chuck Girard, 7510 Westminster Place, Fort Smith, AR 72903-4253.
